I have been part of the GVYC program since it inception in 2011. My son was part of the team 2011 -2013, and really he deserve the credit for my involvement.
I have and continue to serve in many roles. I was an assistant coach, head coach, Co – Head Coach for the 2013 state championship team and I have been a GVYC board member since we developed the organization to the level of needing a board. I also am a board member of the CHSCL. (the state organization which organizes our events in the fall.)
Getting Kids on bikes, giving them an activity they can enjoy for decades after high school is a truly rewarding experience. Seeing our riders develop into young adults and watching them move forward in their lives has been the most rewarding part of the work in my opinion.
