Spring Ride Programs

Know a youth rider who enjoys mountain biking, but is looking for friends to ride with? Or wants to improve their skills, but isn’t interested in racing? Grand Valley Youth Cycling will be offering both Middle School and High School Ride programs this spring.

Focused on getting kids out on all the local trails to enjoy riding with qualified coaches and their teammates, GVYC’s Ride Programs are fun forward programs that are inclusive and include some skill instruction in addition to getting out and riding the amazing trails of the Grand Valley.

Middle School Ride Program

This program will teach and practice the mountain bike skills needed to safely, efficiently, and enjoyably ride the unique technical trails in the Grand Valley. Riders will be matched with riders with similar skills to maintain a fun, safe, cohesive crew. Riders will be matched with riders with similar skills to maintain a fun, safe, cohesive crew. This program is for riders who will be in 6th – 8th grade sometime in 2026 and meets Mondays and Wednesdays in two separate 6-week sessions (each within a 7-week window).

High School Ride Program

Our High School Ride program is for older youth riders who are looking for a fun, supportive, mountain bike program that isn’t focused on racing. This program supports a variety of rider skills and interests and is fun focused and designed to help riders build confidence, skills, and experience by riding local trails. Riders will be matched in groups of compatible riders to create a safe, fun, cohesive crew. Offered in two 6-week semesters in a 7-week window (in case of a make-up session), the High School program is for riders in 8-12th grades.
