2026 Season Programs
We are pleased to offer the following programs for our 15th season.
Train for Next Season
Training builds a foundation for success for riders who are looking to ride better, ride longer, ride faster, and have more fun! If you are looking to take your riding to the next level, improve or start racing, or just simply get more from your riding, putting in the fitness training matters.
Training is individualized and on the athlete’s schedule.

Winter Fit
This training block is for the athlete that is self-motivated, looking for structure, and wants to get better in the off-season. Being primarily in the winter, the athlete needs to be motivated to the point that he or she is willing to regularly complete workouts on the trainer, and bundle up and get out the door on the weekends in the cold. Communication is key and the athlete and coach will have regular meetings as well as an open line of communication to help the athlete improve as much as possible. If you are motivated and want to take your cycling to the next level and be prepared to race in the spring, summer, and fall, this program is for you!
December-January-February-March

Season Fit
Similar to the winter training block, this training block is for the athlete that is looking for a structured training plan to help them take their cycling to the next level. Like the winter block, communication with the coach is key to getting the most out of the training plan. The athlete and coach will have regular meetings as well as an open line of communication. With the change in weather, the coach and athlete(s) will have more opportunities to meet in person, especially for workouts, and group training. Collective Experience
Over the past 15 years, Grand Valley Youth Cycling (GVYC) has helped hundreds of youth develop a love of mountain biking, find a supportive environment to challenge themselves, and inspired kids to race and chase amazing adventures on bikes. Over those years, we have collected a lot of tips to help parents and participants make the most of their involvement with GVYC. We are collecting those tips in our Public Forums. If you have a question about GVYC, we suggest you look there first. You may find a parent or rider just like yourself has shared some of the wisdom they developed with GVYC.
