Enduro Team Kicks Off the Season with Support

The GVYC Enduro Team met for their Information Night at the Grand Junction Trek Store location with a good turnout, bike checks by the staff mechanics, lots of information from the team coaches, and pizza! The team received a bunch of information about the season, met the coaches, learned about practices how the team will communicate, and information about races.

The Information Night also had a presentation from Erin, Katie, and Niko from COPMOBA with information about the upcoming work at the Lunch Loops Bike Park. This is an important and exciting effort to revamp, improve, and hopefully expand the very popular bike park that needs community support to make it happen. When asked who rides at the Lunch Loops Bike Park, every hand in the room went up.

Of course being at a bike shop, the riders also enjoyed checking out the lineup of mountain bikes as well as the gravel, road, and commuter bikes on display. Some riders picked up some equipment thanks to a generous discount and the energy level was high. After the meeting riders enjoyed testing the tune of their bikes and riding around in the parking lot. Yay bikes!

If you, or a rider you know, is interested in joining the GVYC Enduro Team, registration is open until Tuesday.
