S’mores & Slalom
Race & Trailhead Party benefiting Lunch Loops Bike Park
Date: Friday, May 15th | 5pm-9pm
Location: Lunch Loops Bike Park
GVYC + COPMOBA are throwing something new at Lunch Loops—low-key but high energy, old school but new school, competitive but casual, scrappy but organized.
S’mores & Slalom is part MTB race, part trailhead hang. All good times. 100% of proceeds go straight to the Lunch Loops Bike Park Phase 2 rebuild.
What’s slalom, you ask?
It’s a head-to-head race where two riders navigate parallel, mirrored tracks featuring banked turns, jumps (optional), and rollers—taking place on our brand new mini course at the LL Bike Park. Geared towards traditional mountain bikes or dirt jumpers.
No race experience necessary. Choose your adventure between two categories, with riders split by age group. $15 entry per participant.
Which will you choose?
- Casual: Slalom-curious and ready to give it a go. No experience needed.
- Competitive: Ready to send. Any race experience, chasing fast times.
We’ll bring the ingredients for fun!
We’ll provide the s’mores, firepits, timing, and tunes. You bring chairs, beverages, hot dogs, trail dogs, friends—and maybe a water gun if things get rowdy.

Community Short Track Series was a Fun Success!
GVYC brought back all the fun, racing, and community in our famous Short Track Series. The new course was a blast!

The rebirth of Short Track tackles a new course, new challenges, and stadium seating. Wait. What?!
That’s right. The new Short Track course is on Kids’ Meal (that’s perfect!) and spectators can cheer riders for the entire length of the course from their stadium seating location at the shade structures or by the fire pit in the event area.
And there are s’mores!
